Store Futagami Kobo 'Ray' Coaster

Futagami Kobo 'Ray' Coaster

$95.00

A beautiful, luxurious yet functional brass coaster.

‘Kobo’ in Japanese means "rays" or "radiance," and the bold patterns of lines create a radiant coaster. Water drops running down the glass to the coaster slides into the ray patterns, allowing the coaster not to stick. On the back, a silicone ring prevents damage to table surfaces.

Made in Japan by a brass foundry founded in 1897 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, with over 120 years of history.

Design: YAMAZAKI Yoshiki

Foundry: Futagami, JAPAN

Material: Solid brass

We recommend that the coasters be rinsed and kept dry after use. If liquid is left on the coasters for a long period of time, the minerals in the water may accumulate and creating white powdery stains. To remove these, dilute 5 % citric acid with water and wipe the coaster with a clean cloth.
